Ask Of Myself Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Ask Of Myself

Give me the courage

To do what i cannot

Give me the strength

To fight my wars

My mind reels with the possiblilities

Of my own imagination

Of possiblities that

with a little push

can answer my questions

to live my dreams

to believe in my hopes

Give me the strenth

to love again

no,

for the first time

In reality

not fantasy

Nor fantasies

Nor fantasize

To truly love

without walls

or gates

To feel without

Baracading walls

To cry without

Fear of conviction

Eviction

of my own emotions

or mind

Give me hope

So that i can live

without fear

of falling

of calling

out to those who will use

abuse

and toss me away

Give me life.

Is that too much to ask

of myself?
