As She Walks Poem by Michael Thiem

As She Walks

She left my house
I knew she was sad
I wanted to run after her
But would she listen to me?

I am crying on the inside
While my eyes become watery on the outside
My heart pounds fast
As I breath more and more

I want to run for her
But where is she
I want her to text me
so I would know she is safe

My friends talk around me
Not able to focus because of her
The sound goes through one ear
And out the other

As I think about her
I know she is crying
I want her to try on my shoulder
So I may cry with her

I hurt her feelings
Now I feel terrible
I will have to live with the consequences
Why didn’t I think?

It was just suppose to be a joke
It was taken out of context
But you should know it was not my idea
I was influenced by others

But if anyone was going to be hurt
It should have not of been you
Because you should know
I will always be there for you
