As She Stood Poem by Conner Clemons

As She Stood

She Smiled in tales of woe
sweetened by the best intentions

While waiting for her life to change
guilt she did not mention

Always was she caught in reverse
daring to drive in the wrong direction

Such a sad song it seems
love and loss show the same reflection
