Aslong As I Can Poem by Francis Duggan

Aslong As I Can

Rating: 5.0

I just want to live for as long as i possibly can
And for to die without pain as a very old man
In my sleep and in the morning be found stiff and dead
Though hopefully of me many more years of life ahead
Pity all of those who die in the slow painful way
Of a terminal illness on their dying beds they lay
On morphine for to keep the death pains at bay
Those who die very old without pain are very lucky one can say
Good health in itself is a great gift indeed
For a happy long lived life it is something one does need
I am not one of those with an end of life plan
I would just like to live for as long as i can.
