As Life Goes By Poem by Melody Thomas

As Life Goes By

As Life Goes By

I’ve wondered as life goes by
Initially how you can perceive
An abstract view of all the things you do
Incredible as it seems,
The brightness in your eyes.

How little tolerance you have not received
Don’t bring me down when I’m not with you
For the company you sometimes keep
Keeps me up all night, with not much sleep.

Pull up your socks and make new friends
For in the end, we sometimes pretend
Of jovial matters to further our goals
Maybe tonight you will cleanse your soul.
