As Any Man Can Be Poem by Ray Hansell

As Any Man Can Be

Living without loving
A terrible place to be
I know that in my life
Many times that was me

I thought that I was in love
But I was never really sure
Usually I went along
I made myself endure

But then one day my eyes opened
When I saw her standing there
I really couldn't help it
All I could do was stare

There was something about her
That drew my look her way
The feelings just got stronger
With each passing day

Then when I got to know her
I knew what I had found
The woman I'd been looking for
The woman I'd always want around

The love we shared was magic
She quickly helped me see
The one I'd been searching for
Was right here in front of me

I love the way she smiles
I love the way she touches me
She makes me so very happy
Happy, as any man could be
