As A Ghost Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

As A Ghost

Rating: 5.0

amidst that elite crowd
he stood there to be divorced
allegations all he accepted
denials there was none
his lawyer thought
he had taken a dead case
no other child in this world
should be in his child's place..he thought

WHAT THEN....
YOU ACCEPT ALL ALLEGATIONS
YOU DID NOT DENY ANY
SHALL I GIVE IT AS DECLARED
THE DIVORCE

no sir
i want to live with them
i still have love for them

HOW WILL YOU
THEY DO NOT WANT YOU
HOW WILL YOU LIVE WITH THEM

i will sir
he said sending a chit to the chairperson
which just read

AS A GHOST

The divorced slid and fell
the bottle he emptied out was not just alcohol

as his eyes closed
his mom came to his mind
when he lost at school and cried
she told there is a life ahead
she stood there for him

No decree can stop the spirit from loving! Love spirit is high power no power can stop it! Nice one!

separation from our loveones can be devastating to children-and adults as well. But even when a divorce takes place between two people, if there is love, their spirit is forever present. Thanks for inviting me to read-one of my children is having a personal experience with divorce..I feel that the ghost/spirit of my husband is an ever present in the home. a 10+++

life tastes sweeter as and when we give more than we take more...leading to a sweeter death? Perhaps...a real life situation presented well in a sentimental wrapper...good...10

sam! unless i am seeing something different from the other readers? what i see is the taking of ones own life, rather than lose the ones he loves through divorce. anyways! a ten for my interpretation of it.
