As A Child Poem by Capri DiTori

As A Child

The life I once lead as a child
It's all been but taken from me
Away I go; to a land
So very foreign, but so well known.
To both me and my friends,
I'm left grasping their hand.
As this is our final goodbye
And last and only chance to say,
What was forgotten to us;
Till it wasn't a chance,
We'd ever get or have again.
