Arrogance Poem by Eli MorenoDrew

Arrogance

I would take ignorance
Over arrogance any day.

I haven’t been like this for long:
I feared not knowing
And countered
By knowing
All that I could.

Then I’d lift my nose
At the stupid argots
That my peers would grow
Then a wind would blow
Sand in my nose
And I’d sneeze.

But then I noticed
I was staring at the sky
And thought:
“If my head was that big,
As big as the sky,
Who would love me? ”
