Arousal Poem by Doris Cornago

Arousal

Should
One resist
Creativity spree
A moment in time
Amidst groggy clime
Unfolding every morning
Reminiscing on your back
Beatitudes, moods, frauds
Done with all formalities
Soaking in a soapy tub
Scrub, scrub, scrub
You're an orchid
Rare and bare
Bountiful
Care

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Freedom to create images with one's thoughts is a privilege which must be exercised only with much self-control. One must have the ability to control oneself, in particular, one's emotions and desires or the expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations. What is crass and commonplace can be given redirection with poetic imagery.
