Around The World It Goes Poem by Mariela Contreras

Around The World It Goes

Screaming voices all around
Everyone deaf to the surrounding sounds

The roads under construction
The swings untouched

Million voices to be heard
No one around to hear them

Thousands of beating hearts
one to decide if it will continue

Months to see the light
Seconds to see darkness

Covering to be safe
Safe once covered

Awaiting for the Universe

The Universe awaiting for thee.
