Antigone Poem by Cheylee Miller

Antigone

Rating: 5.0

To Clarify, this was a school assignment. It is based off the story Antigone so everything in it is from that story. I do not believe in many gods, I believe in only one.

By obeying the laws
The gods have made
I lost my life
In a simple way

Creon made a law
That said 'We refuse all
Burial rights
To Polyneices tonight! '

I had to refuse
Which made me news
But I did not care
For I had to dare

He was my brother you see
I could not leave him
For what would that make me?

We care for our family
No matter what they do
They are our blood
So our love is true

:) No worries, I only believe in one God. This was a school assignment about the story Antigone. Everything in it is based on that story, not my own personal beliefs in religion.

The gods... um... good poetic skills.
