Another Norm Poem by Johnny MartinEZ

Another Norm

The old abbey surrounded by a cloak of darkness
as fragile figures bemoan the night
as if the passage of time would change their plight
they are children of another norm
who chosen the dream of a different storm
Their voluminous black robe in tow
offering a withered prayer to relieve the gloom
as they struggle to find the meaning of life
