Another Day Poem by Romesh De Silva

Another Day

Another day, another pointless way
My thoughts set free, it’s sunrise
Deliberation too hard, my life in the making
I always look into my illusionary mind
Ignoring the world’s hating
This is not new to me, I’m at home now
An oasis, a retreat, mine to keep
Shade shining in the sun, negative people asking, how? Their life looking bleak
Those who compel me to do great things
Listen closely to my words, hear me sing
Don't worry, the pieces of the puzzle will eventually show you a picture
A self-portrait, a creation only known as your life’s splendour made richer.
