Another broken word
A promise left unfulfilled
A vow that once was heard
But now is only chilled
Words, so easily spoken
But actions, rarely shown
Like a fragile vase, now broken
Our trust, forever blown
We believed in your every word
But they were just empty lies
Your deceit, like a sharp sword
Leaves us with pain that never dies
Promises made in haste
But forgotten in a blink
Leaving our hearts ablaze
With disappointment, we sink
The pieces of our shattered trust
Can never be put back together
For your words have turned to dust
And our bond, now severed
Another broken word
And we're left with broken hearts
For we believed in what we heard
But now, it all just falls apart
So many broken promises
We've learned to never believe
For in the end, it's just misses
And our hearts, they can't retrieve
But despite the hurt and pain
We'll rise from the ashes
For we know, we'll never gain
From your empty, broken promises.
