Watch Me Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

Watch Me

I'm a sinner tonight,
Lost in the darkness of my strife,
Where my heart is filled with fright,
And my soul struggles for its life.
Where the logic and mystery lies,
I'm torn between right and wrong,
Each step I take, I am despised,
For my sins, I must pay along.
The weight of my guilt, it drags me down,
Into the depths of my despair,
I wear a smile, but inside I frown,
For my soul is stained, beyond repair.
But in the midst of my brokenness,
I find a glimmer of hope,
A chance to rise above this mess,
And learn how to properly cope.
I'm a sinner, yeah,
But I won't let it define me,
I'll rise up and break free from fear,
For my redemption, I'll finally see.
Watch me as I rise from the ashes,
With strength and courage anew,
I'll face my demons and their clashes,
For I am determined to start anew.
I'll embrace my flaws and imperfections,
For they make me who I am,
No longer bound by society's expectations,
I'll follow my own moral compass, as I am.
I may be a sinner, but I am also human,
And with each mistake, I'll learn and grow,
I'll embrace every flaw, every sin,
For it's what makes me unique, I know.
So watch me as I walk my path,
With my head held high,
I'll face the world with unbridled wrath,
For I am a sinner, but I'll still try.
In this journey of life, I'll stumble and fall,
But I'll never let my sins hold me back,
For I am a sinner, and that's all,
But I'll make my own choices, keep my own track.
So judge me not for my mistakes,
For I am a sinner, but also a fighter,
I'll embrace my sins, for my own sake,
And rise above, as my own rightful owner.
In this world of black and white,
I am just a shade of grey,
But it's in that grey, where I find my light,
As I navigate through this life, my own way.
