Ano Na Tayo? Poem by Eden Orbista

Ano Na Tayo?

To my non-tagalog speaking friends, this poem is about being stubborn, no direction, learning to accept mistakes, forgiveness, understanding and humility
Title: How Are We Now?

ANO NA TAYO?

Away bati, Lagi na lang
Sa umaga, Sa tanghali
Sa gabi, sa lahat ng oras
Sa inis ay di mapakali.

Nuong magkasama tayo
Parang walang katapusan
Ang mundo ko umikot sayo
Parang bula, Ikaw ay naglaho.

Nagkalayo ng landas
Namuhay mag-isa
Lahat sinubukan
Oras ay di alintana.

May bukas pa bang hihintayin
Kakayanin pa ba nating buuin
Mga pangarap na hinabi natin
Kahit durog na ang damdamin.

Titig mo'y tagos sa puso
Dama ko ang lungkot
E anong gagawin ko
Ayaw mong makipagayos.

Puro ka kimkim
Ng iyong saloobin
E saan ka pupulutin
Isipan mo'y laging bitin.

Hay, kung lagi kang ganyan
Tayo muna'y maghiwalay
Ng sa gayun mapagisipan
Ang tamang hakbang at gabay.

Lipas na ba ang tampo mo?
Halika at mag-usap tayo
Alamin mo ang mali sa tama
Upang matutong magpakumbaba.

Alright, yan po ang ating tula na binigyang -daan sa ating post this time, sanay ay may natutunan po kayo sa aking munting mensahe sa tulang aking kinatha.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Hello everyone, whichever part of the world you are right now....I hope that you are all doing great, safe and blessed. This Tagalog poem I composed is about relationships. It's a free verse form of poem. Some said poetry is hard. Can be yes, specially if you are writing something that is not coming from your heart. Definitely it is difficult. We'll talk about the 10 forms of poetry in our next post, but for now let us focus about my new poem; This can be between a couple, parents and children, mother and daughter or son, well anyway, anyone can relate to this thoughts I am sharing with you now. The key words are understanding and humility. Are you humble enough to admit your mistakes? Are you open to accept constructive criticism? Or will you continue to do what you think is just for you, but unfair to others? Think about it, and try to reach out so that, there'll be peace and harmony in any relationship.
