Animal Training - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Animal Training - Lincoln Park Zoo

It's called seal training that I do.
Ev'ry day of the year it's done,
Right here at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
Serious stuff and not just fun.
There are times they really can be
Uncooperative and stubborn.
Just trying to keep them healthy,
But they don't like to wait their turn.
Oft they don't take instructions well,
With showing off, rowdy and loud.
Training can really go to hell
When craziness spreads through the crowd.

Is it worth it? - Sometimes I ask.
Training humans - no easy task.
