Angels Have A Question Poem by Catherine Casey

Angels Have A Question

Angels have a question
For the woman at my side.
‘Did you cross the waters freely?
Did you hear the heartfelt cry?

Chorus

For in you we find a soldier,
In you we find a friend,
A soul of pledge and honour,
In whom angels can depend’.

'Did you learn of Eden
From a childhood lullaby?
If so join our countless legions
As we dance across the sky.

Did you stand for justice?
Did you stand up to the foe?
Did you follow in the sandals
Of the Jesus that we know?

Did you hear that trumpet?
Are you standing just as tall?
As splendid as the first morning
Or a beauty of the fall.
