Angel Winks At Me Poem by Joshua Merchand

Angel Winks At Me

Angel Winks at Me

Angel:
“Come to see”
“Behold! ”
Four logs in the river
flowing and banging
riding against each other
the current down
The logs are fighting and banging
hurting each other
for priority
Some climb on
the others only to fall;
others pushed under
made useless:
wasteful war.

“logs are sisters”
Says She
“can be a raft” i say
“How? ” (She)
“bound….. together…
Stop! See? Log is down, bottom
Drown” (me)
“Immaterial”(She)
Four or five
Bound together
Is a raft (we)
How? What? Why? (me)
Unity (She)
What? And Why? (me)
“LOVE! , silly.” (She)
Who? (me) 0
“Sisters, four or five
Bound with Love is
Raft useful, safe, unity” (She)

OK….pretty purple bow (me)
Got to go. (She)
“Donna? ? ”
Angel turns back;
Winks at me.
