Angel Visitation Poem by Alex Fischer

Angel Visitation

Like a spring rose that bursts from the sea
A beauty sparkling through the trees
A glimmer of hope that envelopes you and me
Over a sunrise that shines over the sea

Shining down magnificent grace and tranquility
A blossomed lily that hangs over
Your face innocent and sweet

Oh shining of the stars!
Oh radiant moon!
How pleasant is your doom
From the moment I saw your ominous glow
From the bosom of my tomb
I knew the meaning of love and life anew

And out from my tomb I broke forth
Into the shining light of the would, I moved
Seeing you, my sight consumed
By you, a radiant beauty across the world consumed

And so there I saw her a radiant goddess from heaven
Standing before me with glorious rhythm
An outstanding ovation beyond compare
With wings so glorified and full of grace
Waving her hand commanding peace
Over my mind, my heart
I awake in sweet, sweet tenderness
And peace
