And Your Eyes His Sun Poem by MARIE CLAIN

And Your Eyes His Sun

If your soul is a mountain
And your eyes his sun
Nothing will obscure it by inappropriate senses

If your heart is a volcano
And your eyes his sun
Nothing can condense bitter feelings

If your words are a wind
And your eyes his sun
Nothing can be tainted by treacherous meanings

If your hands are an ocean
And your eyes his sun
Then they will know how to give you that successful opportunities

If your feet are a lake
And your eyes his sun
You will walk on rocky trails without fear

If your whole being is a universe
And your eyes his sun
It will take a thousand infinite years before you fall

If your "If" are notes of music
And your fingers their sun
Be sure that all walks of your life
Will be paths with bright edges
To guide you to the best of you.
