And Yet, There's More Poem by Stacy Co.

And Yet, There's More

What do you do,
When life's being taken from you?
How would you act,
If you knew that was a fact?

Well, trust me,
It's not so easy.
As a matter of fact,
I'm trying to give my life back.

My life is a living hell,
I'd be better off in the bottom of a well.
My family's ruined beyond belief,
And no one feels the grief.

I think I'd rather die,
Then go one more day when all I do is cry.
My life is in shambles,
My education, a gamble.

The other one, so smart,
All I can do is terrible art.
My marks, so much lower,
My life, going by even slower.

And yet,
I could make you a bet.
That when it comes down to it,
I still have my wit.

Yes, it's simple, really,
All you have to do is act silly.
It may seem odd,
But all you have to do it sit there and nod.

And at the end of the day,
All I have to say,
Is that everything is not fine,
And I hope that your life is not like mine.
