And The Sun Sighs Poem by Walter Krijthe

And The Sun Sighs

and the sun sighs
as the moon
dries her tears

cee ef cees
work like moths
on the ozone layer

dry rivers flow
to nowhere

forests recede
take Gaia's
breath away

shrinking poles
lowlands drown

and the sun sighs
as the moon
dries her tears
