And The Clouds Are Going Backwards

See the black cloaked lady
And the devil in stone;
Hear the death – as it speaks to me,
[I don’t want to live forever] but I ain’t goin’
oh no, I ain’t goin’, but I can’t stop
the clouds going backwards...

the psychedelic breathing
snakes it’s way into my brain
and the tears begin to roll
like the rain – just the rain
falling down; but those clouds
just keep rollin’ – goin’ backwards.

Have you ever noticed
Everything seems all here,
Nor there; see the stars
A kaleidoscope of madness
Symbolic of something less –
and yet; a mirrored image of a world beyond me now,
And, the clouds are all going backwards.

Lennonistic virtues all cloud my judgement
And peaceable meditation to the fore;
An experience that could only be, heaven sent,
And the sky breaks Nature’s laws,
And those clouds are goin’ backwards;

Yeah! Death’s calling to me again,
With peace and love, he’s crossing swords
But I ain’t goin’, I hear him but I ain’t goin’,
So those damn clouds can all go backwards...
