And Indeed Death Has A Domain Poem by Daisy Pereira

And Indeed Death Has A Domain

Everyday I searched for you
in the dawn's hues
in the high branches of memories
in the melancholy blue plains
in the saddest green skies
in the morning's dull pain
sick, home lorn, and distant
I travelled through time
seeking you, never attaining,
in my dreams I saw you
a nameless, a face unknown,

I searched in the bursting light
ransacking in the darkest corners too
one by one I am leafing through days
the blue veins of calenders
one by one years gone
owl hoots from the old lovers tomb
indeed death has a certain domain
in the living world itself!
