And Poem by Olivia Jade

And

Rating: 4.5

I watch the seconds tick by
And the minutes are the same but the hour hands point to different numbers
And I go around the circle and I count them one by one
I watch as that little red dial moves between them but never closes the distance.
It turns and it turns and it turns and it turns
And I have more lines to a poem,
But little else changes
The tick tick ticks beat like a drum in my head
And their repetition sounds single phrase
Further away
It's not just space that divides us dear,
your further away.

And I like beginning sentences with And.
And what does that say about me?
