An Offer.......
on my feet
what you offered
is just your body,
i stooped to kiss
you
i caressed it to
feel your
heart
it is not there
your soul is not
there
so i returned it
back to you
i may be sad and
lonely
i may need it for
a moment
but i cannot take
just a shell without
its flesh
a face without its
mind
like a room still
without you.
