I have often wondered
About the definition of friendship
And finally, concluded
Friendship is…
A bond of thoughts
A relationship of choice
It is an interaction that gives a high
It is a silence that comforts and pacifies
Friendship is….
A feeling carved in each other's heart
Sharing each others gains and pains
It is at times, anger and irritation
Even misunderstandings and sadness
Long gaps, spaces and distances
But despite all that, it is constant caring
Friendship is…..
A ray of light in the dark tunnel of despair
In the heart, a corner reserved forever
It is coming home after a big fight
Or on a stormy night
Just being there with understanding
And without understanding, too
Friendship is…..
An expression without words
An eloquent silence
Without asking
Without being asked
A need answered
Not taken for granted
Friendship is….
What two people feel
Not what the world sees
A sentiment,
Transcending space and time
Bright and positive
It's the value realized
not when apart
But on meeting
After a long parting
Friendship is ….a Blessing!
