An Indian Villain
With a pistol
Firing on the stage
The cracker rounds
From his toy pistol
To snatch and threat
In films
And the audience taking
For a real villain.
Classic
The rock-built temples
And the devadasis
Doing kathaka
In the courtyard
Sometimes in the durbar.
