An English Afternoon Poem by Phil Soar

An English Afternoon

I sat while the orchestra played
I stood as I watched the parade
I lay in the grass while I slept
I watched as the grey sky wept
A typical summer, U.K. style
Dreary and wet, yet nevertheless
Enchanting
