An Elegy For My Grandfather Poem by roselle acampado

An Elegy For My Grandfather

Oh Grandfather, my grandfather you will be forever,
In my heart seeking you and desire
to be your side until your last breath, but I never,
I was not there to help and pray,
To protect you when you lay.

God one more day and another night,
To spend my time to him of pure delight,
In every petals that falls, my grandfather, you are not fair,
You did not wait to see your lovely granddaughter,
Until the last of my grandfather.

Even you and I did not see each other,
But at least my grandmother is telling story about you,
How good you are to your grandson and granddaughter,
Even I am not included in the list but I am aware.
No matter it is I still adore you.
