An Elegy for my Father

Oh my father
Why you left us
When you left us I felt
the pain in our hearts.

Oh my father
Until now I'm still waiting
I hope that you will come back
But you can't because you're already dead.

Oh my father
I study hard for you
I stand to be strong
The reason why I'm strong, is you.

Oh my father
Saying goodbye to you is not easy
And letting go is so hard
But I pretend to be strong.

Oh my father
I hope that you are happy
And I hope that you're happy for me
Because you are my inspiration.

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
To that alone;
But mark the fate of faces;
