An Angel Poem by Vani Agarwal

An Angel

Rating: 5.0

The eyes like an angel,
she would Smile as she walked by,
the perfectly aligned teeth,
and twitchy nose would make her shy.

This way she had of stealing hearts,
just gliding her fingers over the mind,
her cascade would enrope them,
and in that maze, her they would try to find.

But it didn't matter to her ever,
for she had grown to see,
that lovers in fact just pain,
and even though she was running, she was never freed.

When she was hidden behind something,
the world didn't have strength to believe,
she was just another person walking away,
and no one was left in the sieve.

She knew how ugly beauty was,
for it would push one into an unending dream,
she knew how undervalued the heart was,
for only her shadows could hear her scream.
