An Angel Poem by Aimee Nell

Then an angel came down
And whispered in my ear,
'I'm here.'
And as the tears fell,
She whisked them away with her feathery touch.
She says,
'It will be okay.
You're not alone anymore.'
And I look up and smile,
Because I believe her.
She smiles back.
And it's as if the sun has come out from behind a cloud.
It fills me with warmth,
And something I hadn't felt for so long...
Happiness.
And she spreads her wings, saying
'Come, fly with me.
I will not leave you'
So we soar together.
She helps me to fly.
And I am never afraid that I will fall.
Because I know she will never let me go.
