Amen Poem by Yewande Adedokun

Amen

I do not understand
I took all the chance I had
Amen, to the good and the bad
Amen, to the rain in the cloud

Nevertheless, my soul finds rest
In a turmoil and worldly turbulence
Amen, in sickness and in health
Amen, when I cannot rest my head

Amen to the blurriness on the peak of my mountains
Amen, to the climbs i make
Amen, to the falls and the bruise on my way
I say amen to whatever El-All means with that word when he took the world on himself
Amen, is what is...
