Our visit is quite brief
Awry like a swept leaf
On paths beyond control
Quick years which take their toll
We learn from all mistakes
A life of our own make
Cemented into time
That bitter taste of lime
Until the jolly way
Gives us another day
To redirect our eyes
Across the same sunrise
Viewed from a different place
We form the rainbow face
And let the prism bend
Until the bitter end.
