Amber Rain Poem by Andrey Kupriyanov

Amber Rain

Rating: 5.0

Though she was born a day ago
She lives by disillusion's glow
She looks above and gently cries
But don't be blinded by her eyes

And every waking hour of mine
I have her picture in my mind
In hues that never fade away
And paints in shades of gold and grey

Amber Rain! Oh, Amber Rain!
Where're you gonna go today?
If you cry I have no doubt
I'll listen till your tears give out

My shapeless thoughts like auburn clouds
That float across the land of draught
I watch the sun and can't forget
Her tender whisper in my head

I love her not because she rains
And not because of what remains
Just when I'm down, alone in fear
She washes away my bitter tear

Amber Rain! My Amber Rain!
When will I see you again?
I fall for you but tell me why?
Skin and bone won't touch the sky

The shower from a boundless source
Will come someday without remorse
And drops of joy will hit the ground
But will they heal my deepest wounds?

Amber Rain! Oh, Amber Rain!
Where're you gonna go today?
If you cry I have no doubt
I'll listen till your tears give out

Amber Rain! My Amber Rain!
When will I see you again?
I fall for you but tell me why?
Skin and bone won't touch the sky
