Ambasador Of Change Poem by Lateef Okikiola Imran

Ambasador Of Change

Rating: 5.0

Dear ambassador of our nation

Why did you keep your promise in detention?

On you lies our hope

But we turned out dope

You promised us that you'd seek the truth

But our reserves are looted

Dear ambassador of our nation

Ye hath yield no redemption

Our rights have been slaughtered

And our freedom being endangered

Who know what might happen next?

Even the bird is not saved in her nest

Dear ambassador of our nation

Why is our nation not being nurtured?

And only wrath is what we are feeling

Our value has no meaning

Why are you turning our home to grave?

And you wrong act being paved

Natural resources becomes natural disaster

Yet your bellies are growing fatter

Dear ambassador of our nation

Some are, and not your intention

And in you still lies our hope

To bring back our home

Casting out the ogre

To make our home better.
