Am I For Real Poem by Alonzo Titus

Am I For Real

What's the different between an orange,
a difficult question to answer,
it might be easier to understand
if you were a squirrel or a hamster,
but what if you were a bird or a fish
would that answer be a disaster,
or would it cause your conscious thought
to work a little faster.

I once new a bunny rabbit
who lived with an alligator,
he ask his roommate about his mother
who replied I think I ate her,
being eaten by a gator
is better than by a snake,
but to bunny rabbit's mother
what difference did it make.

So sing we songs of sadness
when the world has fallen on us,
especially if were laying
on the pavement under a bus,
but we hope for a brighter future
one that creates very little fuss,
from all the people waiting in line
for that disgustingly delayed bus.
