You left me in the night,
turned down every light,
walked away far from sight,
but still am alright.

I have been in this fight,
attacked by all might,
pushed to all sides,
yes am alright, cause I still rise.

You may go on and wonder why,
but I will still fight,
even if you make me die,
I will still see the light so bright,
yes, I will always be alright.

I will be forever grateful to you,
you've helped me realise, this world is a school.

And this is what I've learnt so far,
I still know it cause it sounded loud and clear in my ear,
to keep on the wonderful laughter,
and never to fear no matter where.

Don't expect this fire to die,
and while you wait,
make your bed and lie,
cause forever, I will always soar on high.

And for you my love,
though you left me in the night,
you're still forever mine.

Tis true, this is the light,
but I made you this promise from my heart.

And I've learnt also never to go back on that,
be now with me in the light,
let's share delight,
and everything will be alright.
