All Hallow's Eve Enchantment Poem by Paula Glynn

All Hallow's Eve Enchantment

When The Vampires Sucked Blood

The 1800's when vampires ruled the world
Sucking blood and stealing love
Vampires female by design
Working for the dreaded Dracula
Erasing memories of capture
For human blood deliciously
Being devoured like
Rich red wine
From the devil's cellar
To ease and create pleasure
The enhanced senses and the desire
Vampires having a place
In the night-time world
Life with all its torture
To yet still treasure
Time to follow
With the turning of the earth
Souls searching for immortality
This the vampire story.

Those Old Witch Trials Again

Witchcraft the old craft
Spells being spun
Draft after draft
Like the three fates at the loom
Spells being chanted
Underneath the autumn moon
For magic is alive
Magic coming true
Beneath that midnight moon
No witch without her broom.

Old Day Hellraiser Cenobites

1987 Hellraiser made
A graphic horror film created
For the audience to be afraid
Blood and gore
Cenobites enjoying the pain
And after this film
No one is ever the same
Pinhead the most famous
Pins in the head stopping the attack
His power to reign supreme and never lack
And his servant Cenobites
To wander hell to attack and attack
Their existence to be a basic fact
They living in hell's darkness
Their souls truly evil and black.

Goblins, Fairies and Trolls

Those old troublemakers
Goblins, fairies and trolls
To play merry music
For what they sing goes
Their merry tricks
To their gullible
Human companion
Fairies pretty though
For every little girl
Fairytale magic
The enchanted world
But Goblins to be avoided
Their ugliness obscene
But a little girl does dream and dream
Pretty fairies with flowers in their hair
To live in tiny woodland houses
To bathe sometimes in any woodland stream
To enchant every magical night-time dream.

Ghosts and Ghouls: The Haunting

The haunted woods
Wintertime enchantment
So misunderstood
Icicles frozen on the branches
Where the enlightened
Take their chances
Knowing nature is beautiful
Even in the darkness of winter
And the ghosts and ghouls
To haunt a soul
With night-time fears.

The Psychic And The Seer

She could see through her gifted eyes
The hands of time never to stop
The universe showing her a journey
From the fears of Jurassic Park
The ancient world time forgot
To the new world of these 2000's
And years and years to 3000
4000 and to even beyond year 5000
Her psychic eyes seeing
A planet spinning in orbit
Taking souls through
A realm of dreams
Into reincarnation
Time creating wisdom
From demon to angel
Soul from darkness to light
An entanglement of yarn
All souls to develop
A seer having this unique second sight.

The Telepath Never A Psychopath

The Telepath never a psychopath
A highly advanced soul
To see into others eyes
And see into others minds
Whether soul demonic or angelic
For judgment day shall come
The Telepath knowing all that is done
The psychopath exposed
And rightfully punished
For having been truly dumb
Their evil ways never forgotten
Pain their life full of
The Secrets of the mind
To next know all in life that is unkind
The Telepath never blind
To the burden of murder
Sweat on the psychopath's back
Impossible to wash off.

Mermaids Comb Their Hair Deep Beneath The Tide

Mermaids sing and comb their hair
Beneath the vast ocean tide
Their fishtails to break the tide
For pretty mermaids
Have nothing to hide
And every fish colour
From green, blues and pinks
To have magical pride
And no matter the waves
She shall always have her place
In Irish folklore and tradition
And stories throughout the world
Enjoyed by every boy and girl.

Banshees Call Of The Wild

Banshees scream in rage
Their all consuming anger
Moving the cold winter wind
That haunts any visitor
To the wild fields of Ireland
Irishfolk to talk
Of night-time screams
Their heads on the pillow
As they dream and dream
Every torturous night scream
The once human banshee
Sharing her cursed love
Trapped in the wind
Where her old lover
Lived in unforgivable sin
Her curse of that wind laden scream
To haunt every lover's night-time dreams.
