Alive Fishing In Flowing Water Poem by Terence George Craddock

Alive Fishing In Flowing Water

Rating: 5.0

Japanese robe wide sleeve
conceals a small parchment
tied with black silk ribbon

upon delicate paper fine linen
painted in brush art stylized
fleet deceptively simple strokes

swift flows scene a waterfall
cascading down over a cliff
water leaps over edge delighted

playing in water frenzied
is rendition of a bear inked
in graceful stream depicted

catching a spawning salmon
returning sea instinct driven
streaming seeking birth pebbles

fascinating life images captured
flowing barest detail inked in
missing lines features provided

by viewer's eye led imagination
creating completing illustration
mastered brush strokes on linen

look watch the bear on paper
alive fishing in flowing water
water rushing swirl nets the bear
