Akron Baroque Poem by Charlotte Gunther

Akron Baroque

Akron Baroque
Offers a ledge
At eternity’s edge.
Come sit a while
Be quiet, be still.

Leave the marching tense
The metered moments,
And float with melody
Rest in harmony

Let the conductor bear,
Let the players carry
The burden of time,
The rhythm and rhyme
