Aging And Greying, Together Still Poem by kimber harrison

Aging And Greying, Together Still

Smooth, creamy skin,
around light blue eyes.
that are rough like the ocean,
but peaceful, like the skies.

A wrinkle and line,
that fold over agian and agian.
Over those light blue eyes.
That hold wisdom they lacked then.

Golden blonde hair,
that shines like gold.
As it glows in the sun,
My heart it will hold.

No longer gold,
but rather white.
But I still love you,
with all my might.

Warm, strong hands,
and a vice grip.
The hand's of a man,
that I fell in love with.

Knarled old fingers,
that I handle with care.
But I still love them,
even though arthritus, they share.

A smart cunning mind,
and quick wit,
that captured my heart.
I've loved you every moment sense.

But it doesn't matter that we are old and grey,
and that the years have been unfriendly,
to have treated us this way.

Because every single second,
that we spent in each other's arms.
Aging and graying, together still.
Is were I want to be, and forever and on.
