Aging Adam Poem by Ima Ryma

Aging Adam

Rating: 4.7

Adam, the first man made by God,
Was made to be a perfect man.
But Adam turned out to be flawed,
And was condemned to a life span,
Forced from Eden in time and place,
And confronted with painful strife.
Adam grew old without God's grace,
Until he came to end of life,
Nine hundred thirty years to live.
Eve and son Seth there when he died.
God sent an angel to forgive,
And bring Adam's soul to God's side.

Adam's body to earth a must,
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Hmm! Nice one. May I invite you to read my poem Eve, for I have tried to take a different view to the story
