Again Poem by Natasha Dowdy

Again

Keyboard clicks rattling at a frantic pace
Rushing to get all these thoughts of you out of my head
I pause
Editing
The delete key sounds different
Like a groaning agony
Fighting back
Trying to stop me from erasing the emotions I typed so fiercely
A soft plea to leave the jumbled mass of tangled letters, incomplete thoughts and fragmented sentences
The tiny button gives under the slight pressure of my pinky finger
Such a delicate move and its all gone, cleared from my screen
I purged you from my mind and erased you from my life
Again.
