Afraid Of The Dark Poem by twanna williams

Afraid Of The Dark

Innocent, broken, beyond repair

Just a little girl not knowing he was there

The light goes dim and so do I

Not wanting to remember what just took place

I go to run and hide and close my little eyes

I don't want to see the monster with the big red eye

I'm afraid of the big bad wolf man

They say he will eat me alive

He'll take advantage of me and he won't know his boundaries

I'm innocent, broken, beyond repair

Just a little girl not knowing he was there
