Affliction Poem by Jim Boone

Affliction

Rating: 4.5

aka ‘Life’ on planet Earth
Climb off that cross
Dance with your Angels
Be very respectful of Mr. Bones

Don’t be too distressed when
Pain and Misery come knocking
Be the balm that removes them
Not the fool who lets them abide

Affliction can appear as your fantasy man
Embolden with physical turn-on’s that
Can make you crazy enough to freak
Cause heartache of the addiction kind

Once you have enjoyed and survived ‘it’
Wear your ‘Affliction’ duds with pride
Without being afraid to keep on
Living life to the fullest, cause it’s fast
And you don’t want to miss any of it.
