Affection
She sits and waits for his kiss
Nothing will give her more bliss
for its his affection she wants.
She smiles at him with love
And hopes he smiles too
but love in his eyes is gone
she waits to be told she is loved
but he says nothing, not even a word
and slowly, she feels the void
